Madelaine Ingles, speech language pathologist, Sickkids, Barrie, Toronto

Madelaine Ingles has a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toronto where she holds the position of Adjunct Lecturer and supports clinical education. She is registered in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). Madelaine is certified with Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) where she has declared a professional interest in Speech, Language, and Literacy Development. Before opening Madelaine Ingles Speech & Language on the shores of beautiful Lake Simcoe in Downtown Barrie, Madelaine worked for six years as a members of the inpatient Speech Language Pathology team at Sickkids Hospital, providing assessment and intervention to kids and teens in the medical setting.

Madelaine’s interests include early intervention, school age language development, motor speech disorders, autism spectrum disorders, gestalt language processing, Down syndrome, articulation, social communication, acquired brain injury, and literacy. Madelaine is trained in PROMPT and certified in Hanen’s ‘It Takes Two to Talk’ and ‘More than Words’ Programs, and incorporates caregiver involvement/parent training into every speech and language session.
